The overall feel is relaxed and immersive, though obtuse and jagged elements appear from time to time. The use of stereo positioning of these elements, along with delay and reverb are integral parts of the compositions. There are several themes which appear throughout the album and can be found on individual tracks as tape cut-ups, random patterns, granular elements, pads and solos.

Experiments and tonal ideas found within altered wavetables influenced the development of this album. Cutting and arrangement techniques normally used in film editing were employed on many of the recorded phrases, particularly on ‘the iron’ and ‘here’. Further edited and arranged in logic pro.

Instruments, equipment and software used include..

korg wavestate, modal 001, null.modular eurorack, empress zoia, ehx grand canyon delay, strymon nightsky. heavily altered found sound samples (zoom h6) and some help from omnisphere and sinevibes hollow (a remarkable reverb from ace Ukranian programmer Artemiy Pavlov).

Occasional tape hiss courtesy of uher 4000 report monitor tape recorder.
